Imperfect Future 2009 VII edition

“Imperfect Future” an Art in progress is an interactive project of Wanda Nazzari, artistic director of the Cultural Centre Man Ray of Cagliari. Project comes to life in 2001 with an aim to promote and challenge a creativity of young artists, offering them an opportunity to work together with already noted  artists of the field of visual arts, of music,of theatre and dance, in absolute freedom and with a spirit of collaboration.
“This happening reaffirms an artistic experience that crosses any fracture between the art and life, giving an ethic recognition to liberating attitude of the artist. Individual release that becomes a collective release, including also never passive public that interacts with its emotions, that becomes a part of this “game”, inside of work that becomes a  “gesture of  the life”. Artist traces a sign: visual, musical or theatrical, inside a space, representing its cipher, moving in some collective dimension, that is a time of the life, of interrogation and of affirmation, in the act of being as in the act of existing. The act of creation is an alive force, is a freedom, is an immense charge, is a spectacle.”(Wanda Nazzari)
An exhibition “Imperfect Future” 2009 foresees a participation of some young visual artists coming from various schools of art, chosen by artistic direction of Cultural Centre Man Ray, created by Wanda Nazzari and young historians of art.
Young artists have in their disposition big clothes of 2,50m x 2m where they are free to express their creativity, creating synergies between other present artists: musicians, dancers, actors. All artists propose an art in progress, inspired from emotive charge that originates from different creative  processes.
Fundamental is a participation of some important schools and artistic companies of Cagliari that almost for many years collaborate with Cultural Centre Man Ray. The direction is assigned to Wanda Nazzari with a collaboration with an internal committee formed by historians of art Efisio Carbone, Silvia Ledda, Gianfranca Loi. Coordination and organization of event are assigned to Stefano Grassi who will also look after production of video and audio materials, in collaboration with pupils of Man Ray Photo School. Coordination of performances is realized by actor and director  Stefano Raccis.
